A house, an engagement party, graduation, a degree, New Designers in London, a trip to California, start a full time job, oh and plan a wedding. 2012 doesn't look too shabby.

What IS he up to now?

Blogging for me is a great way for me to keep everyone up to date with all the day-to-day bits I'm up to as well as the bigger aspects of my goings on.

Sorry where was I...

As per usual I get very busy and get out of the habit of Blogging. So here is one of my trade mark mega posts in a bid to get up to date. GO.

Mum enjoyed her presents for mothers day

The F1 comes back and despite Rupert Muhdoch's best efforts I still manage to enjoy the first race live

We can normally see the Tyne from here but not today

Peter gets up to mischief after I tiger out how to open out windows 'properly'

As a Product Design student this product appalled me. It's called 'Tango Foam' and is a pressured bottle of tango with a sort of hair-moose valve one it. I have identified 15 parts, 7 different materials and 7 difference manufacture processes. To think this is how my mind works whilst waiting for a bus.

Although not a glorious day, just a hint of sun was enough for the northern types to take to the grass, cider in hand.

At the end of March I travelled back home for Easter and Verity as been very busy with making our house our home.

The start of what I am sure will become quite a collection of pictures of our friends and family. If you come and stay you'll see it as it's on the wall of the spare room.

My first bit of post at the new house, take note if you need my new address.

Verity, Lynne, bridesmaid Jo and I go to a tasting at the catering company we have selected to cater for our wedding. Fizz, canapés, wine, 6 starters, 8 mains and 6 desserts. I nearly burst.

One Sunday Dad took his camper down to Fred's field of r a BBQ. Naturally he also brought some gnomes and guns with him.

Flat mate Martin readies himself for a trip to the South coast for  our engagement party. I don't quite know what he's expecting.

The Northern clan hit the road on their epic road trip South.

Martin excitedly sends me this snap after 6 hours on the road.

Party!! Verity and I host our Engagement party at the Counting House in Eastbourne. We have the whole pub to ourselves !

James, Martin and Pete; my flatmates from Newcastle at our party! I was so touched.

A wonderful cake given to us as a gift by Sandra, a colleague of Verity's. If you enjoyed it you can expect more next year as she's doing our wedding cake as well.

Would you believe me if I told you James was actually sober?

Until about the third guest arrived with cards and presents I didn't know there was such thing and an engagement present! You guys were so generous, THANK YOU!!

Speaking of generous look what my Dad bought for us! Wow thanks dad, a very sexy office computer.

The night of the party my northern mates stayed in a hotel but the day after we met up for lunch before making a holiday of their trip down.

The girls relaxing with some fizz.

Martin dominating a shark, and me in the process.

The boys relaxing...

...before having a well earned kip

Normally there would be plenty of places to go and see down our way but unfortunately the weather wasn't really on our side. Can you see the light house?

The clan stayed with us that night so a cheeky takeaway before going out for a couple of drinks.

After everyone had gone home after a fantastically successful weekend it was just the 3 of us for a quite night in.

Although we booked it a few months ago I had the chance to have a proper look around the venue we have booked for our wedding. Birling Manor.

Tyipically as soon as our guests left the weather cleared up and it gave us some spectacular views from Bell Toute Lighthouse. Nowadays it has been converted into a B&B and since you can see it from our wedding venue we thought it might be a nice place to spend our first nights a married couple. It didn't take us long to decide we loved it and have since booked it.

Back to the real world and Verity has been powering along with the house and whilst I was down I took the opportunity to help as much as I could and slowly but surely we're getting there.

As a result of everyones generous gifts at the Engagement party we were able to buy some much needed utilities. Since the delivery time was given to us as 'between 7am and 8pm' we needed to get to the house early. Verity dropped me off to stand guard before zipping off to town to rustle up some breakfast. Our first in the new house : )

New gas cooker and new dishwasher.

And freezer tucked away at the back. It's all starting to come together

As we were both spread so thinly at the party I met up with George and James at the pub for a much needed catch up.

James was insistent that this picture made the final cut.

Pished glasses, ironic really.

Since the kitchen utilities are all plumbed in we thought it would bee nice to have our first dinner at the house.

Mmm, fajitas.

Oh, and how could I forget! My flatmate James gave me this amazing present. I'm not sure if it should go by a door in the house or just inside my shed/workshop.
So there we go, hopefully we are all up to date, and as always I'll try and keep on top of it this time.
