A house, an engagement party, graduation, a degree, New Designers in London, a trip to California, start a full time job, oh and plan a wedding. 2012 doesn't look too shabby.

What IS he up to now?

Blogging for me is a great way for me to keep everyone up to date with all the day-to-day bits I'm up to as well as the bigger aspects of my goings on.

I know him!!

Although Gary had told me some months back that he had been to see Top Gear USA you can imagine my surprise when I'm watching it in bed and see him just standing there. On telly. On my iPad. In America. Hi Gary, miss you.

Some exciting news!

First of all let me apologise for the lack of posts lately. When I get out of the habit of blogging I feel as if I can't post just one thing as it won't make sense in context to the last thing I was going to post but couldn't and so on and so forth. Anyway, sorry; my bad.
The exciting news!
We've bought a house!
We've kept this one rather hush-hush as we first looked at this place about 6 months ago and didn't way to get our hopes up in case it all fell through but we exchanged on Friday and we complete tomorrow!! Watch this space.

The rest of this post will be one of my trade mark mega-blogs that I do after a period of radio silents.
Whilst I'll try to keep some kind of chronology to this some bits may just fall in funny places.
I found an onion that must have mated with a scotch egg.
My flatmate Pete got locked in his room
We had to put the heating on in the flat for the first time this year

Having got home and pretty much gone straight to work at WES I took this snap of our new house from the bus (left of the hedge)
Some work at WES cutting these shapes with the CNC router. The big slither cut out is a fix trying to hide a gaff we made. It worked rather well
At the Christmas party that Nanny and Grandad put on for us Aunty Angela had backed up all sorts of treats.
It didn't take long for the 'kids' to start buggering with it :)

Now I know I have blogged this one already but it was such a wonderful day here it is again. For my birthday Verity took me to London to 'Winter Wonderland' in Hyde Park!

An hour on the ice!
A giant animatronic tree that tells fantastically crap jokes and then laughs at himself
A cool big wheel...
...that verity treated me to a ride in
Everyone looks like ants!
After dark things use got prettier.
You can almost always expect to see something new and cool at WES

The return of INDOOR FIREWORKS!!!
Whilst at work I was asked if I could make a scale model of this but a meter tall, I didn't know how exactly but I said yes anyway.

Having run out of time over Christmas and with all the design and fabrication work done, this is how i left it with them, they were pretty happy with it.

My boss sent me this a couple of days ago, spot the original on the top of the mouth piece.

Although I did spend quite a bit of time over Christmas at WES I did get to spend some time with V
The perks of working in a design and fabrication facility with all the tools you could ever need...
...means you never have a dull lunch break
Verity and I went for a lovely dinner at The Giant's Rest with one of my best men and his girlfriend Hilary
XLR splitter box anyone? If the truck is leaving in a couple of days and you can't get what you need from anywhere in the country just ask Sam to make you one.
After making it back up to Newcastle I unpacked some of my smaller xmas presents that I could carry with me. This nifty little jobby was given to me by my Mum, Thank you!!
I wasn't the only one unpacking Christmas presents, Pete here is playing with Martin's new elevation training mask. I think you will agree that it is much less scary than the SAS gas mask he used to use.
Another one of my best men Martin opening his birthday/christmas present to himself. Good lad, you won't regret it. Welcome.
Martin's 22nd Birthday at the bar he works in in Newcastle, Vodka Revaluation.
Rude awakening, false alarm.
Over Christmas my Dad got an iPad and introduced me to a couple of new apps, my favourite being Adobe Ideas, this was the first thing i draw but I have started to use it for uni bits here and there.
A scribble for a mouse idea for some fabrication and model making practice back at uni.

I thought this was going to be a big pile of crap but it was actually really good! A spray handle attachment for aerosol cans, cool.
Shiny
Pete treats us all to Pies!
Spot the penis...
3 blind mice (l-r James', mine and Pete's)
