What IS he up to now?
Blogging for me is a great way for me to keep everyone up to date with all the day-to-day bits I'm up to as well as the bigger aspects of my goings on.

MOWOG/BMC Green
My engine paint turned up at work today so this evening I spent a bit of time bringing the cylinder head and a few other bits back to life.
On a side note I didn't know what MOWOG stood for and have seen it stamped on quite a few parts lately so I decided to look it up. After a good 10 minutes googling I hadn't found definitive answer. Someone said MOrris WOlseley Group, another said MOrris WOlseley Garages, another MOrris WOlseley mG. One person suggested one of the Os stood for Oxford but my favourite was that Mowog was the name of a gorilla employed by BMC in the early 60's who's job it was to do up the bolts on the crank case with a 6' breaker bar so that no mortal man could ever undo them. He then stamped his name into the steel parts with his bare hands to ever remind the industry of his presents.
I'm still unclear.

Flying RC gliders
Saturday was a lovely sunny day with a light breeze. Perfect for playing my Dad's new toy; a Spy Hawk. A radio controlled motor glider with on-board HD video camera that broadcasts its signal back to the hand set!! Freaking awesome.
We made a little video so we could share it with you

Don't tell Charlie!!
Spent an hour today getting the head and carb out of the '65 Mini pickup today. I did such a nice job of mine I offered to take out the greasy bits of this one so we can send off all the heads together to get referbed. This one belongs to the MD of West End Studios.

Sometimes I get to work...
...and I feel as if I've accidentally made it to Beaulieu. Very nice though

Boys night
With Verity staying over at school and these boys going to two of the corners of the globe in the next 7 days I thought they should see the house and we should have a couple of send off beers. Even if it does look like David is asleep

Happy New Year
Last year was a sad year for blogging and this blog was left neglected for 8 months. I have a folder on my computer that has content for this blog in it but what good is it there. Instead of always trying to find that illusive hour to bring this up date I'm just going to carry on regardless.
In the last 8 months I/we have:
Redecorated our house we bought in February
Had a fantastic engagement party in April
Finished my degree
Moved back from Newcastle
Design show in London
Rewired said house
Redecorated again
Moved in
Visited friends and family in California
Both started new jobs
Whilst all the time planning our wedding
Not bad eh?
Although it hasn't just been this blog that has been neglected. So today I unwrapped my most precious little Mini and treated her to the fitting of her new boots that have been reconditioned over the winter. She's back in the warm and dry now.
